If you are interested in receiving “Twitters” from me, see the java widget on the side of my page. This widget will allow you to “follow” me. Twitter is a communication tool where I can send messages on my cell phone or on computer that will show up on my web page and also be a text message to your cell phone. If you sign up for it make sure you have texting as part of your phone plan. Twitter will not charge you but if you do not have texting your cell phone company will.
I won’t twitter too much. I am basically seeing how valuable this is as a communication tool and if it is worth it to students. I have heard of other educators using it in other schools and they find it great so I am just exploring possibilities to best use technology, communicate, and assist instruction. This is for educational networking and not social networking.
For teachers or educators who follow this blog you can go to the link below from Mark marshall’s blog who does a good job explaining it.

Thanks for the pingback! For me, it’s a great networking tool for teachers. I have heard of educators using with students (classes twittering with each other). I’d be interested to see the applications in education over the next couple of years.
